6 Ideas For Late-Night Wedding Reception Snacks

At 9:30 PM, our barn wedding venue smells delicious and dancers flock from the dance floor to the table of late-night snacks. It’s a rare occasion when there isn’t a late-night snack. Here are some of our favorites that we’ve seen at Barnwood Events.

Pizza

The most common late-night snack? PIZZA! We have a list of pizza places that are happy to deliver to the barn – we just recommend ordering early in the week and not the day-of. We can also make pizzas in-house if you prefer.

Soft Pretzels

A fun and unique option – soft pretzels with different dipping sauces! Ben’s Pretzels has been at our wedding venue a few times with a variety of pretzel flavors and dipping sauces. Guests have raved about this special late-night treat. We can also make pretzels in-house if you prefer.

Chocolate Shoppe

A staple in Madison, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream has an ice cream truck that they park in front of the barn for your guests to enjoy. It’s a fun option for locals who know their favorite flavor by heart, but also for your out-of-town guests to get a taste of Madison.

Fast food

There’s nothing like your favorite burger or chicken nugget after a long, exciting day. We’ve had McDonald’s, Chick-Fil-A, and even Culver’s as a late-night snack at our wedding venue, and all have been a hit.

S’mores

Get your guests outside to enjoy our gas fire pit (or if it’s raining, our indoor s’mores makers). A lot of guests like to take a break from dancing and step outside during this time – and, as a bonus – it’s a pretty cute photo opportunity.

Caterer options

Your caterer may also have options where they will come back to provide a fun late-night snack. We still think of when Blue Plate Catering brought a mac and cheese bar loaded with bbq pork, jalapenos, bread crumbs, and more delicious toppings. Reach out to your caterer for a menu with options.
