Barnwood’s Top Cocktail, Decor and Ceremony Location

As a wedding venue, Barnwood prides itself on offering our couples a lot of options to make their weddings unique. Over the years, we’ve recognized a few favorites that couples seem to love – like signature cocktails, decor, and wedding ceremony location. 

Signature Cocktail

We have a list of signature cocktails, and we always give couples the choice to customize if they have a favorite drink. But, the cocktail that always seems to reign supreme is the Old Fashioned Love Story!

It’s a classic Wisconsin old fashioned with muddled luxardo cherry and orange, bitters, and our own homemade brown sugar syrup. Guests can choose brandy, whiskey, or bourbon and sweet, sour or press. 

Decor 

One of our customers favorite perks of choosing Barnwood is the access to our decor closet. We have a big variety of candles, lanterns, wood slices, runners, greenery, and more that couples are free to ouse. 

Most often, people choose a wood slice with a lantern and greenery on top of it as their centerpiece of choice! It accents the wood in our building so nicely, and the candles inside the lantern add a great little bit of light when the lights go down. Here’s a link to our decor closet.

Wedding Ceremony Location

There are six different spots where a wedding ceremony can take place at Barnwood – though one seems to be a couples favorite. The willow tree that looks over our front lawn, near the farmhouse, is the backdrop most couples use for their wedding ceremony. The grand oak is a close second!

There are a lot of ways to customize the willow tree to make it the ceremony of your dreams. We have three different arbors that can be used, decor to make it unique, whiskey barrels, and more.
