4 Unique Ideas to Make Your Wedding Reception Memorable

While classic wedding elements will always have their place, adding a few unexpected touches can make the celebration feel more personal and memorable. Cafe’ Domestique or Crescendo Mobile Espresso Bar

A few couples have reserved a mobile coffee and espresso bar for their wedding, and it’s a really delicious touch. If the weather’s nice, it’s a great outdoor activity to get guests outside to enjoy the property – since they both bring a mobile bar or truck. We often work with Cafe Domestique.

You can customize the options for cold, hot, and nitro drinks, as well as choose unique, signature drinks. Pro tip: bring a fresh shot of espresso to the bar for an espresso martini!

Dueling Pianos

Not all couples are big dancers, but hiring a band or DJ is such a staple in the wedding industry. Some, instead, choose to hire entertainment like Dueling Piano’s. While some guests get up and dance, others enjoy sitting and listening, interacting with the performers, or having a great environment to just chat with their loved ones. 

It’s a good way to provide music and fun without the pressure to have a full dance floor – or reserve them for some good cocktail hour entertainment.

Fun Late Night Food

To appease all guests, most couples lean toward traditional catering, and sometimes they feel like they lose some of their personality in that decision. We suggest bringing something fun for your late night snack to add a unique element.

Mini Golf

A new option: a 9-hole mini golf course that can be set up on the grounds of Barnwood Events. While we always have cornhole and giant jenga available, this add on is a great activity for guests to partake in during cocktail hour or throughout the night.
